The Agriculture Officer in the Civil Administration conducted a study tour for representatives from the European Union in Samaria crossings, aimed at presenting the mechanisms and the manner by which agricultural commodities are delivered through various crossings from Judea and Samaria to Israel and vice versa.

Veterinarian control in the Gaza Strip has severely deteriorated since Hamas terrorist organization takeover of the Gaza Strip by force and since the establishment of the economy of the Gaza Strip on smuggling and infiltration. Currently, the Gaza Strip is more exposed than before to entry and smuggling of animals infected with various diseases, without any possibility of providing proper care.

The Crossing Authority at the Ministry of Defense and The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) invested over 80 million NIS in developing and upgrading the infrastructure at Kerem Shalom Crossing, in order of expanding the capacity of transferring goods into Gaza, and exporting goods from the Gaza Strip to overseas markets.
