Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza

The Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza is responsible for coordination and liaison operations vis-à-vis the Gaza Strip and comprises two district representations (North and South).

The Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza, which is subordinate to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, operates with those Palestinian bodies in the Strip subordinate to the Palestinian government in Ramallah. The Coordination and Liaison Administration does not operate vis-à-vis the Hamas.

The Coordination and Liaison Administration is responsible for implementation of the Israeli Government's civilian policy regarding the transfer of commodities via the different overland crossings, civilian entry to and from the Gaza Strip with emphasis on the evacuation of Palestinian patients for medical treatment in Israel, the promotion of projects by international community, and coordination of operations and aid in agriculture, transportation, trade and industry.

The Administration in Gaza operates in coordination with all the relevant Israeli entities, including the IDF, the Overland Crossings Authority of the Ministry of Defense, the Tax Authority, various government departments, the security forces etc. In addition, the Coordination and Liaison Administration is in constant contact with the international community entities operating in the Gaza Strip.
