In light of the upcoming Christmas Holiday, beginning Sunday December 19th, 2010, the IDF and Civil Administration are making a number of goodwill gestures to benefit the Palestinian population in the Judea and Samaria region. This was decided in accordance with the directives of Minister of Defense, Mr. Ehud Barak, the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi and in light of security assessments of the IDF Central Command and the Civil Administration.

The COGAT spokesperson reports that today on the 27th of November 2010, the export project for strawberries and flowers to the markets of Europe commenced. This is part of a wider project that is being managed by the Administration of Coordination and Liason alongside Gazan farmers, and is being funded by the Government of Holland.

The IDF Spokesman and the spokesman of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories announced that the IDF, the Civil Administration and the Israel Police are preparing for the olive harvest season in Judea and Samaria which will begin in October and continue until December.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories announced that the transfer of 250 tons of construction equipment was carried out today Monday 5 Tishrei 5771 (13/09/2010). The equipment included pipes and construction iron for the upgrading of the sewage treatment facility in the Sheikh Ajlin neighborhood in the center of the Gaza Strip.

IDF spokesman and Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories announced that the Central Command and the Civil Administration held an unprecedented visit by the Chief Rabbis of Israel in Jewish holy sites in Palestinian cities in Judea and Samaria today, Thursday 9 Elul 5770 (19/08/2010). The visit was in advance of the upcoming month of Tishrei holidays and the Jewish High Holidays.
